Episode Description
The buzz: “What we have is a data glut. What we really want is the ability to manipulate the information and to reach conclusions from it” (Vernor Vinge). Good news: Companies have more data at their fingertips than ever before. Not-so-good news: Companies are losing their ability to control the data and to understand their customers and their business. They also live in fear of auditors asking, “Where did that data come from and how do you know it is reliable?” Our panel will explore the explosion of data challenges and the newest emerging strategies to tame them. The experts speak. Chris Hallenbeck, SAP: “You will see light in the darkness. You will make some sense of this” (The Police lyrics). Bryan Hunter, Siemens: “It is not the critic who counts… The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena…” (Theodore Roosevelt). Chris Kernaghan, Bluefin: “Life is short. Make it amazing” (Hugh MacLeod, Gapingvoid). Join us for Data, Data Everywhere: But Why Can’t We Trust It?
