The buzz: “If we have data, let’s look at data. If all we have are opinions, let’s go with mine.” (Jim Barksdale) The topic of Big Data has been gaining traction since 2010. What’s the big deal? Big Data happens when traditional software can't handle the data because there is so much of it. Lots of new software has been written to distribute Big Data across hundreds or thousands of computers running side-by-side, then gather and consolidate the results. Now organizations can analyze huge volumes of data to understand customer behavior and preferences, motivate the workforce, and optimize supply chains. What has changed since 2010? What are the big challenges and opportunities of Big Data for your company and industry now, almost a decade later? The experts speak. Das Gerard, SAP: “War is 90% information” (Napoleon). Ira Berk, SAP: “A fool is someone whose pencil wears out before its eraser does” (Marilyn vos Savant). Join us for Size Matters: The Big Deal About Big Data and You..
