This story is all too familiar to too many people. Dr. Josh King, a clinical psychologist at the Center for Motivation and Change in New York City, talks to experts, researchers, activists, journalists and more about how to actually help someone change their substance use. From addiction to mental health issues to building a life, Dr. King helps you learn how to move Beyond Addiction.

Dr. King specializes in the treatment of substance abuse and coexisting mental health issues. He believes that everyone has the ability to change, and with the right tools and understanding, they can make lasting and meaningful changes in an effort to live a valued life.

Dr. King has run trainings around the country for parents of children who are struggling with substance use to teach skills that they can use to help their children change their substance use. He has also made regular appearances on radio shows and podcasts to discuss the treatment of substance use and how to make and maintain behavior change.
