Episode Description

Would you get up at 3 AM to travel to the ocean for marathon swimming practice before school (or work)? Not if you weren't as dedicated as Angel More, a 16-year-old World Champion swimmer, who swims astounding distances to raise money for positive global change for children. She's the spokesperson for Children International, a global humanitarian non-profit organization that helps children and their families escape poverty. Today we get up close and personal with Angel, as Dr. Carole asks about her childhood, her family, school and what drives her to take on such challenging feats. At age 2 she began swimming. At age 10 she became the youngest girl to climb Mount Kilimanjaro. At age 11 she completed her first open swim (from Alcatraz to the San Francisco shore). She's the youngest person to complete the California Triple Crown of marathon swimming-3 open water solo swims. As she breaks records, she's raised over $58,000 for charity and her inspirational story has just begun.
