Renewable energy is the future. The price of installing solar and wind is continually falling while the supply of fossil fuels is in decline. Thus the price of fossil fuels is prone to steady increase. Is it intelligent to further tie ourselves to old technology which is polluting our air, water, soil and minds when enough energy hits our planet every single day to power the entire world for 27 years? When one considers the shifting prices, environmental benefits, abundance of satisfying jobs and the dependable supply of renewable energy, it makes sense that we must change. A clean energy revolution is underway and it is mainly our mindset that must shift if we are to bring about a healthier tomorrow. Are the fossils only in the fuels? In this episode of Future Proof Radio, Shane interviews Sean Magee the director of Bullfrog Builds. Bullfrog Power is a renewable energy company that gives Canadian's the option of powering their homes and businesses using clean renewable energy.

Shane Wolffe
My name is Shane Wolffe and I work as a professional engineer with “Green Buildings” in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Canada, a city with one of the harshest climates that people live in. I am LEED accredited, trained by the Passive House institute, a Certified Energy Auditor and a certified Thermographer. I’ve worked as a consultant, a technician and as a manager for a start-up modular home building company. I've worked in pretty much every building type there is. I've seen a lot of issues but I've also seen a lot of solutions. I know that we can do much better, and if we do, we can build a much more sustainable world.
I’ve been fortunate to work with and learn from the best companies and minds involved with energy efficiency and green building. Unfortunately these companies often have difficulty gaining traction despite their value regarding the big picture. In other words, the green building industry has a marketing problem.
I firmly believe that this industry can reshape our economy and is necessary for the long term prosperity of humans and nature alike. The only way that this industry and movement is going to over-take the status quo is if regular folks understand how green building is of serious benefit to them, and they understand how to do it in an economical way. With this understanding I wrote my book and came up with the idea for my website. We will dive into this world so you can understand how you can help build a better one.
