Episode Description
Today’s buzz: Digitization. You hear this term all the time, but what does it really mean? Maybe it’s technologies seeking real-world and business applications like 3D printing, virtual reality, big data, predictive analytics, in-memory computing, or AI. Maybe it’s re-imagining business models and processes, and how we work. Or maybe it’s how companies work together in new ecosystems. This season, we will explore how digital transformation is changing your business, the world economy, and all of our lives. The experts speak. Tilman Goettke: “Prediction is very difficult, especially if it's about the future” (Niels Bohr). Pradeep Almadi: “Don't stop thinking about tomorrow. Don't stop, it'll soon be here. It'll be, better than before, Yesterday's gone, yesterday's gone” (Fleetwood Mac lyrics, 1977). Svend Wittern: “The digital revolution is far more significant than the invention of writing or even of printing” (Douglas C. Engelbart). Join us for Digital Industries 101: Say What?
