Episode Description
The buzz: "You may say I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one." (John Lennon) The first three industrial revolutions were powered by steam (1700s), electricity (1800s), and computerization (1960s). Today, the fourth is connecting machines and equipment with the ubiquitous Internet of Things – enabling the digitization of business across all industries to revolutionize processes, customer interactions, and business models. The heart of this shift: the industrial machinery and components (IM&C) industry. The experts speak. Jason Coffman, Deloitte: “If I had asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses” (Henry Ford). Sean Molloy, itelligence, Inc: “Hell! there ain’t no rules around here! We are tryin’ to accomplish somep’n!” (Thomas Edison). David Parrish, SAP: “Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future” (John F. Kennedy). Join us for Digital Manufacturing: Powering the 4th Industrial Revolution.
