Episode Description
The buzz: “Understand what data you hold, how you are using it, and make sure that you are practicing good data hygiene” (David Mount). Getting the right information to the right people at the right time – inside and beyond your boundaries – is essential for business success. But overly restricted access to critical data can stymy agility. And sharing “naked data” – without intelligent access controls to keep it from the wrong eyes and hands – can compromise intellectual property, trade secrets and customer privacy. Is there a 'right' balance? The experts speak. Justin Somaini, SAP: “In the long history of humankind, those who learned to collaborate and improvise most effectively have prevailed” (Darwin). Keng Lim, NextLabs: “The world will not be destroyed by those who do evil, but by those who watch them without doing anything” (Einstein). Anna Aquilina, EY: “All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others” (George Orwell). Join us for Are You Sharing Naked Data (Oops!)?
