Sam Jaffe
Sam Jaffe is a research manager at IDC, responsible for researching, writing and editing qualitative and quantitative reports and presentations on connected vehicle technologies, energy storage, electric vehicle integration onto the grid and drivetrain developments. Recent research includes analysis of the lithium-ion battery industry, EV market penetration forecast, and connected vehicles taxonomy. He also provides custom consulting, advisory and research services. Sam is a frequent contributor to clean energy and connected vehicles blogs in the IDC Energy Insights Community (http://idc-insights-community.com/energy) and IDC Manufacturing Insights Community (https://idc-insights-community.com/manufacturing). Previously, he ran his own consulting company, Panea Energy Ltd., specializing in business development advice in energy storage and renewable energy. Before Panea, he was a journalist for Wired, Scientific American, The Scientist, BusinessWeek and The Wall Street Journal.
