Haig R. Nalbantian
Haig R. Nalbantian is Senior Partner at Mercer and a founder of its Workforce Sciences Institute. A labor economist, he has been instrumental in developing Mercer’s unique capabilities to measure the economic impact of human capital practices, applied in projects he directed for leading organizations worldwide. Previously, Haig was at National Economic Research Associates, Inc. and taught economics at New York University, where he was a research scientist at its C.V. Starr Center for Applied Economics. A leading authority on human capital measurement and management, he co-authored the prize-winning book on evidence-based human capital management, “Play to Your Strengths” (McGraw Hill, 2004). His HBR article (with Rick Guzzo), “Making Mobility Matter”, won the Academy of Management’s 2010 Award for Outstanding Practitioner-Oriented Publication. In 2012, he co-authored the World Economic Forum-Mercer study, Talent Mobility Good Practices: Collaboration at the Heart of Economic Growth.
