Dick Jerardi
Dick Jerardi has been the racing writer for the Philadelphia Daily News since 1985. He has written articles about every major horse race in the world for the Daily News, and hundreds of free-lance articles for a variety of horse racing publications. Dick’s vast knowledge of the sport has earned him notoriety on ESPN, NBC, and ABC Sports while covering the Triple Crown and Breeders’ Cup races since the mid-1980s. He is also a two-time recipient of the prestigious Red Smith Award for best stories about the Kentucky Derby as well as an Eclipse Award winner for his feature on Barbaro.
