John Hagel III
John Hagel III is co-chairman of the Silicon Valley-based Deloitte Center for the Edge, which conducts original research and develops substantive points of view for new corporate growth. Before Deloitte, John was an independent consultant and writer. From 1984-2000, he was a principal at McKinsey & Co., and founded and led McKinsey’s Electronic Commerce Practice from 1993-2000. He is also the founder of two Silicon Valley startups. John is the author of best-selling business books, including Net Gain, Net Worth, Out of the Box and The Only Sustainable Edge. He won two awards for articles he published in the Harvard Business Review. He is a regular contributor for Fortune, Techonomy and Harvard Business Review blog. Recent contributions include: The Farmer, the Food Truck, and the Foodie (Techonomy, Oct. 2013); When the Professor Works at Google (Fortune, Sept. 2013); and How Drucker Thought about Complexity (HBR blog, June 2013).
