Michael specializes in consummating mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and divestitures for a wide range of companies and industries. His experience with private equity funds helps him assist clients in capital formation matters, including venture and mezzanine capital and other private equity financings.
Michael serves on the board of directors and as corporate secretary for several privately-held companies. He is a member of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association and also served on the Advancement Council for The University of Akron College of Business Administration for many years. In 2010, Michael was ranked as a Leading Lawyer in Chambers USA in the Corporate/M&A category. Michael was an associate with Frost & Jacobs in Cincinnati, OH before joining Calfee in 1996. He became a partner with the firm in 2003.
