Saret van Loggerenberg
Saret van Loggerenberg is the Manager Risk & Compliance for Exxaro Resources Limited, which she joined in 2008 as Assistant Company Secretary. In 2009, Exxaro embarked on Project Siyaya, a major restructuring initiative for which Saret was tasked with re-organisation of all governance, risk and compliance processes, and choosing the enabling technologies to support these processes. Earlier in her career, Saret joined Sheibert & Associates in Cape Town as a Candidate Attorney in 2001. In 2002 she was appointed in KPMG’s Information Risk Management Department, advising clients on the legal aspects of Information Security, Privacy and Data Protection. Soon after joining the Regulatory and Compliance Services team, she was promoted to Manager and Senior Manager. She also assisted KPMG internationally in formalizing their Compliance Arrangement methodology. Saret earned a BLC degree and LLB from the University Pretoria, and a postgraduate degree in European Law cum laude
