Detective Sergeant Stephen M. Iannone
Detective Sergeant Stephen M. Iannone has 25 years of law enforcement experience with the NYPD. Hired in 1989 he has been assigned to various precincts and assignments in the City including the 79 and 77 Precincts in Brooklyn North, the Communications/Electronics Section and the 9th and Midtown North Precincts in Manhattan. As a Police Officer he worked both in uniform and plain clothes, he was promoted to Sergeant in 2002, and was assigned as a patrol supervisor in the 10th Precinct on Manhattan's west side. In 2005 Sergeant Iannone was transferred to the Counterterrorism Division where he was tasked with helping to develop the NYPD SHIELD Unit and was again promoted to his current rank of Detective Sergeant in 2011. Sergeant Iannone holds numerous certifications in disaster preparedness and emergency response from the Department of Homeland Security and is a Certified Business Continuity Professional.
