Mary Sue Youn
Mary Sue Youn joined College Coach after many years in college admissions, most recently at Barnard College, where she served as the senior associate director of admissions. As the senior manager of the admissions staff, Mary Sue coordinated admissions recruitment travel, and trained and directed the application reading and review process. She chaired the admissions committee and reviewed thousands of applications from both firstyear and transfer admissions applicants. Prior to her tenure at Barnard, Mary Sue was an admissions counselor at Whittier College and directed the merit scholarship process for the college. A graduate of Cornell University, she began her admissions career as an alumna admissions volunteer for the university while completing graduate work in psychology at Claremont Graduate University. She has presented at both regional and national conferences on current admissions trends.
