Emanuel Ziegler
Emanuel Ziegler is the lead architect of the SAP HANA Platform for Healthcare and Life Sciences. Starting from a background in numerical simulations in cosmology, he joined the SAP HANA core development team in 2010 at the advent of SAP HANA's first public release. Since 2012, he has worked with multiple co-innovation partners on bioinformatics topics ranging from a first draft of the human proteome and its comprehensive public database Proteomics DB over cancer research, to plant genomics. His focus currently lies on the combination of genomic with clinical data within the SAP HANA Platform for Healthcare and Life Sciences. Besides the algorithmic challenges, Emanuel is very interested in the visualization and interactive analysis of molecular data.
