Alice Lerman
South Bend, Indiana native and Chicago resident Alice Lerman has a great personality, infectious laugh and a true love for animals of all types. After graduating from Drake University with a degree in International Relations & Business she moved to Chicago with an opportunity to work in the family business.
Her passion for taking care of “her” dogs & cats led her to ask questions about the needs of dogs, cats and their humans. In 1998, those questions & the belief that products serving our four-legged friends w/quality, style & value existed somewhere, lead her to open one of the country’s first pet boutiques, barker & meowsky, a paw firm.
Alice’s sense of being & community has gotten her involved in some great not-for-profits such as The Trio Animal Foundation, Chicago’s Anti Cruelty Society & Hockey For Life where hockey tournaments are held to raise funds & awareness for local non profit organizations.
Alice is also a past member of the Women Presidents Organization (WPO).
