Derek P. Loranca
Derek P. Loranca leads the Business Intelligence Center of Excellence for Aetna, a Fortune 50 insurance and managed care corporation. Derek is an SAP Mentor and has spent the past five years as the SAP BusinessObjects Subject Matter Expert for Aetna’s Business Intelligence Center of Excellence. Prior to that, he spent over 10 years specializing in Informatics as part of Aetna’s Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) Reporting and BI team. Outside of Aetna, Derek is a ‘confessed gadget geek’ as well as an active firefighter with the Royersford, PA Fire Department. He volunteers as a community facilitator for ASUG’s Business Intelligence Community and helps coordinate SAP Inside Track conferences. Derek holds an MBA in Healthcare Management and a MS in Healthcare Finance from Temple University, in addition to a BS in Management Information Systems from La Salle University.
