Rod Ellis
Rod Ellis has built an impressive career working as the News Editor for Canada's most watched news show. It all started in 1971 when he began studying film history and production at York University in Toronto 1971. In order to pursue his dream of finding employment in film, he bartended for a whole year before securing his first professional job in TV, in 1976. Moved on to a production company in 1979-1986 working as a technical producer for commercials, music specials and sports events. Between 1986-1988 Rod run his own production company creating corporate videos. Then in 1988 Rod began working for Canada's largest private TV network as the news division's sound recordist and ENG editor.
And then in 2015 Rod decided to take early retirements and is firing up to start a new stage in his professional life and define the next best thing - because the best is yet to come.
