The first author, Wesley Cullen Davidson is a writer, artist, popular blogger on gay rights issues, and mother to her gay son. The second author, Jonathan L. Tobkes is a gay New York City-based psychiatrist whose patients include many gay and lesbian people as well as the straight parents to lesbians and gays. Together they provide a road map for families so they can better navigate this rocky emotional terrain when a loved one comes out. In their book, they combine real-life stories of relationships of gay children and their parents and offer advice on how to accept and handle your gay child.
