José Fernandez
José Fernandez is the Director of Programs of The Global Good Fund, where he identifies high-potential young social entrepreneurs around the world and accelerates their success through proven and proprietary development methods. He is a former Consular Officer of the Consulate General of Spain in New York where he unearthed his passion for reclaiming the word "business" until it embodies sustainability and positive social impact by uniting public, private and nonprofit sectors into a new way forward. As a Trade Officer for the Embassy of Spain, he helped entrepreneurs move into foreign markets using best practices from his time at L’Oréal and ING. A certified chartered economist and founding member of Citizens, Spain’s fourth political power, José was the party's Speaker and candidate to the European Parliament and local elections until 2012. He co-founded and governed three non-profits and a business venture in Spain. José holds an MBA from Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo.
