Dr. Gabriela (Gabby) Burlacu
Dr. Gabriela (Gabby) Burlacu is an Industrial-Organizational Psychologist working as a Human Capital Management Researcher at SAP SuccessFactors. She focuses on understanding, identifying, and communicating ways that companies can develop HR practices that effectively support the needs of their increasingly diverse workforces. Gabby obtained her doctorate degree from Portland State University in 2013. While at Portland State she studied issues related to effective employee performance management and the aging workforce, working with companies all over the world to understand how older and younger employees can most effectively be engaged, retained, and developed through HR processes. Gabby continues to collaborate with academic thought leaders and her work has been published in a variety of peer-reviewed journals and books. She also serves as an adjunct professor at Portland State University where she teaches teaching graduate- and undergraduate-level courses in business and HRM.
