Dr. Stanley Althof


Dr. Stanley Althof earned a PhD in clinical psychology from Oklahoma State University. He completed an internship in clinical psychology at University Hospitals of Cleveland and his postgraduate work at the Menninger Foundation. He’s the Executive Director of the Center for Marital and Sexual Health of South Florida, the Consulting Staff of Good Samaritan Hospital and is also Professor Emeritus at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. He and his two former partners were the 2005 recipients of the prestigious Masters and Johnson Lifetime Achievement Award.
He has been in clinical practice and research for over 30 years with the research focusing on the psychosocial aspects of sexual dysfunction and the impact on men, women, and couples. He is Associate Editor for the Journal of Sexual Medicine, Journal of Sex and Marital Therapy, an Associate Editor of Handbook of Clinical Sexuality for Mental Health Professionals and Male and Female Sexual Dysfunction.
