Charles Anderson
Charles Anderson leads the Mobility and Internet of Things (IoT) practice for IDC Asia/Pacific and serves as a strategic advisor to CXO’s as their companies address the opportunities and challenges posed by the industry’s move to the 3rd Platform, which involves the emergence and interdependency of mobility, cloud services, big data, and social media. Based in Singapore, Charles leads a team of regional analysts that utilize a consultative-based approach to advise technology vendors, enterprise customers, and government institutions on the impact emerging technologies will have on their current and future business models. In addition to Mobility, Charles drives IDC’s IoT research and thought leadership related to Industrial IoT, Smart Cities, Smart Homes and Consumer Wearables. Charles has an MBA from the Rotterdam School of Management and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and a Minor in Economics from Northern Illinois University.
