Karenna Gore
Karenna Gore is Director of the Center for Earth Ethics at Union Theological Seminary in New York City. Well known for her worldwide appearances supporting environmental, climate, and social justice issues, she is credited by many with significantly furthering the message her father Al Gore's Nobel Prize winning work in support of environmental and climate health. In this regard the Center for Earth Ethics sponsors programs in eco-ministry, sustainability and global affairs, and The Original Caretaker's Initiative with indigenous peoples. She received an M.A. in Social Ethics from Union Theological Seminary, a J.D. From Columbia Law School and a B.A. from Harvard University. She previously worked as a lawyer and as Director of Community Affairs for the Association to Benefit Children. She is the author of Lighting the Way: Nine Women Who Changed Modern America. She lives in New York City with her three children.
