Matt Gorbet
Matt Gorbet is a creative technologist, artist and educator. As one half of the strategic design duo Gorbet Design, he twists technology to enable memorable experiences. His inventive approach to design often leads to unanticipated uses for existing technologies. Gorbet Design has advised Fortune 100 companies on design strategy and has created surprising and delightful art interventions in retail, cultural and civic spaces. From 2010 to 2013, Matt curated TEDxWaterloo, one of North America’s largest and most successful TEDx events. In 2012 he attended and spoke at TEDxSummit in Doha, Qatar. Previously, Matt was a researcher at PARC, the Xerox Palo Alto Research Center, and has an Architecture degree from MIT and a Master of Science from the MIT Media Lab. Matt holds several patents on novel interaction technologies, and his technology artwork has been exhibited globally.
