General Don Alston (ret)


Major General Don Alston is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy, MBA & a recently retired Two Star, now President of Alston Strategic Consulting specializing in high consequence strategic planning & safety intensive operations for nuclear weapons operations, maintenance and security. From 2005 to 2006 Alston served in Baghdad as the Deputy Chief of Staff, Strategic Communications & Spokesman for Multi-National Force engaging international media with the Iraqi government. Don’s final assignment was Commander 20th Air Force responsible for 9,600 personnel, 3 operational bases & 450 deployed Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles responsible for providing the ICBM Alert Force to U.S. Strategic Command. Don directed the Nuclear Task Force that executed the most extensive reorganization of the Air Force in 15 years, understands Deterrence & Assurance in relation to the volatility of North Korea, China, Russia & Iran, & will answer every question about what could & cannot happen.
