Dr. Gideon Greenspan
Dr Gideon Greenspan is the founder and CEO of Coin Sciences Ltd, the company behind MultiChain, the popular platform for private blockchains. MultiChain has been used successfully for blockchain projects in many of the world's largest banks, consulting firms, financial technology and IT companies. Dr Greenspan is a well-known writer on private blockchains, who goes beyond the hype to focus on genuine applications of this technology. His best known piece is "Avoiding the pointless blockchain project" which provides a checklist of criteria for determining where a blockchain should be applied. Prior to founding Coin Sciences, Dr Greenspan built several market-leading web services with a deep algorithmic element, including Copyscape, the plagiarism search engine, and Web Sudoku, a hugely popular sudoku site. Gideon has a BA and PhD in Computer Science (Cambridge and Technion) and an MA in Philosophy (London).
