Lynne Franklin
After a boy threatened to kill her with a machete, Lynne Franklin decided to learn to be more persuasive. Lynne studies how the brain works and turns this research into easy-to-understand ideas and practical tips. She works with leaders to present their ideas powerfully and persuasively, and teams to communicate better.
For example, Lynne worked with a healthcare CEO. This woman wanted to ask her board for the funds to make acquisitions. But her company wasn’t profitable now, so why should the board give her more money?
Lynne helped the CEO analyze the personalities of the people on her board: and what she could do to create better connections with each of them. Then Lynne developed a speech that addressed every objection the board might have. The directors were so impressed with her presentation that they gave the CEO the dough.
Lynne wrote a book called Getting Others To Do What You Want, and has given a TEDx talk on how to be a mind reader. Find her at www.lynnefranklin.com.
