David Downs
As General Manager at New Zealand Trade & Enterprise, David Downs is responsible for growing New Zealand's technology sector internationally. David is an experienced senior executive, with proven skills in developing, planning and executing business strategies across both multi-national corporations and small & medium business.
David is an accomplished leader and is known for his team building, coaching and expertise in cross team collaboration. He has experience in sales, marketing and solution delivery. As an accomplished public speaker and communicator with over 20 years’ experience in the ICT industry, David is also a published author including books on Innovation in New Zealand - "No.8 Re-Wired" and an award winning radio and TV presenter.
David Downs has a BSc degree in Computer Science and a Business Administration Diploma from the University of Auckland. He also has attended Stanford University's Graduate School of Business, Business Studies Program.
