Kent Swig
Kent Swig is a truly noteworthy name in the United States real estate industry. A graduate of Brown University with a degree in Chinese History, and Hastings College of Law, where he was selected for the Law Review, Kent has held various career positions including at The Swig Company and Macklowe Properties. Today, he serves as President of Swig Equities, an investment firm focusing in commercial and residential real estate in New York and California. He is co-owner and co-chairman of Terra Holdings, which owns leading residential real estate firms and brokerages Brown Harris Stevens and Halstead Real Estate in and around the New York metropolitan regions, as well as the brokerage, appraisal, and consulting firm Vanderbilt Holdings. He is also owner and President of Helmsley Spear, which was founded in 1866 and owned by the legendary Harry Helmsley since the late 1930s. Kent resides in Manhattan with his two sons.
