Barry Meadow
Barry Meadow has spent more than 50 years in the gambling world - gambling, and writing about it. He is best known for his book Money Secrets At The Racetrack, the definitive guide to money management at the track. He wrote his first book, Success At The Harness Races, in 1967. Later he worked as a handicapper and racing-magazine editor, contributing articles to various publications. For 5 years in the 1980s, he gambled full-time on the harness races at Los Alamitos in California. Eventually, he would switch to the thoroughbreds and spend more than 20 years gambling full-time on them. In 1994, he came out with Secrets Of The Pick 6, a booklet which delves into the successful strategies needed to hit this difficult bet. The booklet's cover displays a pair of checks, each for more than $100,000, that Meadow has collected. Meadow was a speaker at every Handicapping Expo since 1990 and was a member of the NTRA Players Panel.
