Ophelia Bakon
Ophelia Bakon is an entreprenuer, motivational speaker and fashionista and is the co-owner of Nouveau Fashion Gallery, a boutique located in Boston’s exclusive Copley Place Mall. As the general manager, she runs the daily operations and serves as the face of the only Black owned clothing store in the mall. Under her leadership, Nouveau Fashion Gallery has offered teen self improvement workshops and produced fashion shows for Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, the National Urban League, Maurice Starr Entertainment as well as several other Boston area organizations. Ophelia began producing fashion shows in the 70s, established a wardrobe consulting firm and in 1985 Nouveau Fashion Gallery was born. From everyday women to celebrities including actors Monique, Morris Chestnut, Debra Winger, Lou Gossett, Jr., Academy Award Winning Actress Liv Ullman, whom she styled for the Venice International Film Festival,singer Lalah Hathaway and Rhonda Ross...Diana Ross's daughter.
