Joanna Tracas (aka Jojo) is 12 years old and a Year 6 Scholarship student at Ivanhoe Girls Grammar School in Melbourne, Australia. At school she undertakes percussion lessons, drum line and is part of the school’s choir and choristers. She also plays piano and represents IGGS in various sports including football, soccer and athletics. Jojo joined SBN’s youth media team in 2017 at the age of 9 where she trained as a radio presenter and she regularly hosts the Network’s national award winning edutainment program for young people ‘Primary Perspectives’. This show covers a wide variety of topics such as literature, history, the Arts, sports, health, music, science and sustainability. One of Jojo’s most memorable radio interviews on Primary Perspectives has been with bestselling Australian award winning author Gabrielle Wang, who gave Jojo a signed preview copy of ‘The Beast of Hushing Wood’ to review, making her the very first child in the world to read the book before its release.
