Before emigrating, Lindy taught English literature at the University of South Africa. Since moving to Eagle Harbour, Canada, she has dabbled in dance, yoga and restorative justice. She has a master’s in psychology, is the author of two books, and the editor of The Beacon, a community newspaper.
