Darryl Gooden

Before Darryl had the inspiration to help others, he had to overcome some of his own barriers. Being raised by his single mother in Shelby, Mississippi, and one of fifteen children, he was diagnosed with ADHD, a speech impairment, and a learning disability. Needing constant attention, Darryl’s mother spent time with him, in hopes to help with his behavioral problems. Even Darryl’s teachers lovingly became devoted as well. Not knowing at the time, but these simple acts of kindness, eventually led to Darryl’s own willingness to show compassion towards others. He focused his attention on personal success. He knew education was the way to reach his goals. He earned a Bachelor’s of Science, and a minor in Sociology. Darryl founded and became the president of the 501(c)3 non-profit, Keeping Teachers Teaching. A program that is dedicated to educators and students across the U.S. We can keep our best teachers in the classroom - tune in hear how!
