Cynthia Burghard
Cynthia Burghard has spent her entire career in healthcare working for both payers and providers and as a health technology analyst for the past 30 years. Today she is a Research Director with IDC Health Insights where she is responsible for the value-based healthcare practice. A key focus of her research includes the use of cognitive/AI technologies to advance digital transformation in healthcare. Other areas of research include analytics, population health workflow, proactive patient engagement including the use of chat bots to support the patient journey. Cynthia has spearheaded the research on integrated care as a future direction for healthcare delivery and financing. Cynthia thrives on the intellectual challenges she often faces when providing strategy and go to market consulting for her clients.
