Frank Shankwitz is best known as Creator, Co-Founder, and first President/CEO of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, an extraordinary charity that grants the wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses. From humble beginnings, the Make-A-Wish Foundation, now a global organization grants a child's wish somewhere in the world on an average of every 28 minutes. Frank is a U.S. Air Force veteran with a long, distinguished career in law enforcement. He began as an Arizona Highway Patrol Motorcycle Officer, retiring after 42 years as a Homicide Detective with the Arizona Department of Public Safety, Frank/s been featured in numerous publications and television programs, including Inside Edition, The Doctors, Hallmark Home and Family, Fox News and CBS. Among Franks' many awards are the White House Call To Service Award from 2 Presidents, and the "Making A Difference In the World" award from the US Military Academy at West Point. His life story is seen in the movie WISHMAN on Netflix.
