Bryon Noem

Bryon Noem was born and raised on a farm near Bryant South Dakota as the middle child of three boys. I grew up learning how to work on the farm, doing chores and doing farm work. I was active in baseball, football, basketball throughout high school and graduated in 1988 from Hamlin high school. I then went to Northern State University in Aberdeen South Dakota and played football and baseball and graduated in 1992 with a degree in business finance. I married Kristi Arnold in May 1992 and worked and helped manage their family farm for 10 years. I then took a position as the insurance manager for bryon State Bank in January 2003 and then ended up purchasing the agency in January 2010. I own Noem Insurance Inc. and have two locations in Bryant and Watertown. I became the first gentleman of South Dakota when my wife was sworn in as governor in January 2019. We have three children...Kassidy (26), who is married to Kyle Peters, Kennedy (24), and Booker (18). My initiative as first gentleman is to travel to small towns in South Dakota and uncover hidden gems, promote small businesses, and give them a voice at the state level. We strive to be godly people and attend family worship center in Watertown South Dakota where I’ve spent many years volunteering as a kids church teacher and Bible school director. I love America and South Dakota :-)
