Justin and James Duncombe
Justin Duncombe has been consulting on college planning since 2011 and in the financial industry since 2012. He focuses on helping families tackle challenges they thought were unmanageable. Justin graduated with a bachelor's degree from Brandeis University, where he double-majored in Business and Economics, and completed a minor in Political Theory. Upon graduation, he received the first Award for Academic Excellence in Business in the first graduating class of the undergraduate Business major and qualified for the Economics Honor Society. He participated in music and athletic programs in high school and continued baseball into college. He recently co-authored the College Bound Strategies guide with his father, James Duncombe ChFC, who holds BSBA and MBA degrees and is a Chartered Financial Consultant. After college, Jim worked in Human Resources recruiting, implementing benefits programs and 401k programs. He transitioned to Customer Service when Hewlett Packard acquired the firm where he worked. Jim continued at HP for 17 years as a Customer Service Manager for the LA area, moved to a Customer Service Sales management role, then North America Support Marketing Manager. He then started his own business in Financial Planning, where he has had a practice for 20 years.
