Michele Lau
Michele Lau is a successful businesswoman, TV personality, and podcaster with a life-long passion for the Jewelry Industry. Through her TV appearances, Gemstone Stories and You Are Solid Gold podcasts and social media, she explores and shares insider secrets and stories, dishes on the nitty and gritty (literally!) and tells the sometimes absurd legends surrounding her audience’s favorite gemstone treasures. After a fall 20 years ago changed her trajectory, leading to a diagnosis of Retinitis Pigmentosa, a degenerative and non-linear eye disease, Michele closed her business in Minnesota and moved across the country to pursue her dreams at HSN, the Home Shopping Network. Today, she is a legally blind gemologist with over 20,000 hours of live, unscripted television experience and Graduate Certificates in Colored Gemstones and Diamonds from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). Michele is currently on the air as the Diamond Expert for QVC US and is an International Board Member of the Women’s Jewelry Association (WJA).
