Brenna Berman
Brenna Berman served as CEO & founder of the City Tech Collaborative, an urban solutions accelerator that tackled problems too big for any single sector or organization to solve. Over 7 years, the organization created cross-sector teams to develop solutions to global urban challenges. By harnessing the power of the industries that shape urban life, City Tech delivered scalable, maintainable solutions to address challenges of mobility, community wellness and infrastructure. Critical to its success was a design methodology focused on resident-centric engagement to ensure technology was developed and deployed with people, not done to them. Prior to joining City Tech, Brenna served as Chief Information for the City of Chicago from 2012 to 2017. In that time, she focused on transforming the team at DoIT to provide the skills and expertise to implement the Mayor’s vision of data-driven resident services and of a more efficient, effective, and innovative City government.
