Julie Ryan
Julie Ryan is the Chief Learning Officer at AltaClaro, an innovative provider of online experiential learning courses for lawyers. She is an international business and securities attorney with over 20 years’ experience advising companies in a wide range of industries. She is also a recognized expert on cross-border communication and lawyering skills education, with a passion for both. She is currently an adjunct professor of law at Georgetown Law and previously served as an associate professor at the University of Southern California Gould School of Law where she developed the law school’s first experiential transactional-lawyering-skills course. She has authored numerous articles, blogs, and presentations and is the author of the textbook: Transactional Lawyering: An Experiential Approach to Communication & Problem-Solving. Julie spent several years working overseas, and speaks several languages. She received her J.D. in 1999 from Georgetown Law.
