Victor Trillo
VICTOR TRILLO, JR. is a founding team member of The PATHfinder Club and also works as a youth mentor, employing his deep understanding of the impact of incarceration on individuals, first as the son of a man who was in prison throughout Victor’s childhood, and later as a prisoner himself. At the age of 19, Victor received a Life sentence that was reversed after he had been incarcerated for 21 years. He is a powerful advocate for children of the incarcerated and in June 2023 became the Program Coordinator for The PATHfinder Club and POPS the Club. Mass incarceration, which remains extremely high in America, punishes not only those convicted but also their innocent children and loved ones. Programs like The PATHfinder Club and projects like ADVICE TO 9TH GRADERS can help kids overcome the shame, process the anger, and feel normal and hopeful—which is especially important to adolescents.
