Ritu Singarayer
Ritu Singarayer is the Director of Community Development with Community Living York South and has over 20 years of experience in community development and social services. She has dedicated her career to finding innovative ways of enhancing supports and opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities and their families. Ritu has been involved with several organizations and committees across York Region and the GTA, responding to various community needs. For over a decade, Ritu had the honour to serve on the Justices of the Peace Appointments Advisory Committee as Regional Member and Regional Lead for the Central East region. She was honoured for her incredible support, dedication and contributions towards the community and received the “Exceptional Accessibility Champion Award for York Region” on December 3rd, 2015. This Tribute, formerly known as Abilities Awards, is the official region-wide GTA celebration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. She holds an Honours Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Toronto.
