Maria Tzirakos
Maria is the Director of Human Resources at Middlesex Community Living, a service organization that provides support to adults with intellectual disabilities in rural southwestern Ontario. Maria has been with the organization for almost 23 years, starting as a co-op student and moving through various roles. Maria is also a Peer Validator with FOCUS Accreditation. Maria is a dedicated advocate for inclusivity and diversity in both professional and personal spheres. Growing up in an immigrant household, Maria learned the value of hard work, resilience, and the importance of embracing diverse cultures. This awareness ignited her passion for creating spaces where everyone feels valued and included. Maria values all forms of community, and contributing to those communities by way of volunteering, participating, and promoting.
