Aneshai Smith
CEO & FOUNDER OF G.O. SEE THE CITY Aneshai Smith is a visionary entrepreneur with a passion for sustainability, food waste reduction, and government contracting. Prior to the pandemic, Aneshai owned a highly successful grand opening business that assisted businesses of all sizes with planning, organizing, and marketing their grand openings. With each grand opening she orchestrated, her clients experienced their highest revenue day ever. When the pandemic hit and grand openings were no longer possible, Aneshai discovered a new opportunity to help struggling restaurants. She created themed Food Tours that marketed an array of restaurants each month, highlighting Black-owned and women-owned establishments to increase foot traffic. Aneshai's success with the Food Tours led her to launch Go See The City in 2022, a food waste reduction platform that connects surplus food from restaurants to consumers and nonprofits. Go See The City has received government contracts and has been recognized by notable accelerators such as TechCrunch Include and Leading Cities, which is a top 3 GovTech accelerator in the world. Aneshai's platform includes a mobile app and a dashboard that provides real-time insights to municipalities and restaurants, allowing for data-informed decision making. The platform was created to be a catalyst to assist the USDA and EPA in reducing food waste by 50% by 2030.
