Sam Spiegel
Sam Spiegel retired as Chief of Police and Director of Emergency Services for the City of Folsom, California, in November 2010. He served in that capacity for over nine and a half years. During his tenure as Chief, he also served as the interim City Manager / Assistant City Manager for the better part of 2006. A fifty-year veteran in law enforcement with thirteen years of public service consulting, he is the Chief Operating Officer, Director of Consulting Services, and MAGNUSWorx™ Team Member for the National Command and Staff College. Throughout his fifty-plus years of law enforcement and consulting tenure, he has worked many assignments. Chief Spiegel is a recognized subject matter expert and trainer for Executive and Team Development, Organization Development and Transformation, and Comprehensive Service Delivery / Staffing Studies. His focus on Leadership development emphasizes the essential elements of building capacity, well-being, and resiliency in organizations. He has been the lead instructor of the National Command & Staff College’s (NCSC’s) Course offering of Every Officer Is A Leader and an integral part of NCSC’s Executive Coaching Services, Leading NCSC’s Consulting Divisions. He holds a Master’s Degree in Management, a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and a California Teaching Credential. He has instructed and assisted in the development of many training programs that included Employee and Leadership Development, Organizational Wellness and Wellbeing.
