A teenager and how he was wrongfully charged with murder
July 24, 2019
Hosted by Jeff Stein
Host Jeff Stein, will have Attorney John Carlson as guest to share the story of his client and how he was wrongfully accused of murder and rightfully acquitted at trial. The case involved a drive-by shooting after a High School football game. Given the nature of the crime the city was anxious to see the wrongdoers brought to justice. Mr.Carlson will discuss the evidence & how he fought the system to prove his client's innocence. You will hear that his client was arrested on the basis of 2 pieces of evidence: 1; police claim they found his client's High School letterman's coat inside the crashed vehicle and 2; an eyewitness told police that she saw his client climb out of the overturned vehicle after it crashed. However, you will hear Attorney Carlson explain how his client was the victim of a mistaken identification & shoddy investigation. The details are shocking but the outcome is inspiring. It's definitely a story of truth and justice that you won't want to miss.
Is there Really Truth and Justice for All?
Wednesday at 8 AM Pacific Time/11 AM Eastern Time on VoiceAmerica Variety Channel
How often is an innocent person found guilty of a crime they did not commit? If you had asked me this question in 2005, I would have said, not many, only because I was uneducated. Now after specializing as a Criminal Defense Investigator for the past decade my response is a complete 360. Not because the accused are my clients, but because I am now more educated and have firsthand knowledge and experience with freeing the innocent after being wrongly accused.
There are many wrongful arrests and convictions in the United States. How can we fix this? Understanding that our current judicial system is not “truth and Justice for All” and that everyone needs to be aware, this widespread problem in our country does not discriminate against race, religion, sex, nationality. Anyone can become a victim to the judicial system and incompetent investigations by law enforcement. “Is there Really Truth and Justice for All?” airs Wednesdays at 8 AM Pacific on VoiceAmerica Variety.
